That is my first band, and I do not use Bluetooth that often, so pairing my Axon was not easy task,
but so far works great. Build quality is solid, band is comfortable, buttons (called mod) are easy to
click even for somebody with large hands (always problems with tiny smartphone not to mention smartwatch controls),
and on click light colors
from orange to blue. For double tap or long press various fun
light pattern are assigned by user. Great for a party. Or I can use as remote control for camera
or sound app. Designer did good job with predefined pattern
and easy interface to define your own rule, keep track of notification or create something cool
I only wish there were more of ready patterns. Also a tutorial app or game to memorize all the light combination might help. Otherwise great accessory which could be help draw old and young to world of wearables and automation.

What appealed to me most as an Android user was The Nex Band's seamless integration with IFTTT. My favourite custom hack was setting up Google Maps; with one touch of a button, I can pull up directions to my home or work address. Huge time saver. The Nex app also came with lots of useful hacks right out of the box like a Step Counter, Alarm Clock and Music Controller. Easy to set-up. Very happy with my purchase.By Amazon Customer on May 15, 2017
It's amazing. It made life easier for me in so many various ways. I used to leave my cell phone in my purse,
as I don't have pockets on me most of the time,
and at many times I missed out important notifications. The band just keeps me connected to important messages
all the time in a simple awesome smart way.
It's easily customizable, and now thanks to the band, with a simple click, I can play my favorite music while running off to work. I also customized it to just send out messages to my family and friends with a simple click. It's hard to find something so cool and yet also elegant and chic! I just love it.
This band holds so much potential. It's essentially an empty canvas that awaits your creative input. You want notifications and alerts, you've got it. Interactions with your smart home devices, you're covered. Control music on your Smart Phone, done and dealt with. Play with your friends, why not! Really, the only thing missing from this gadget to attain a five-star status is time. But I'm sure that Mighty Cast is working on it!By Martine on May 1, 2017
So I got the Nexband not too long ago , the shipping was very quick and the product was easy to set up. The charger is pretty cool and it's nice that I can switch it into any charger. I took it in black and the look and feel is super sleek and comfortable. The variety of choice in the lights is awesome. I think my favorite thing is the customizable color patterns, a new form of morse codes to share with friends. I still haven't figured out if we get notifications if the band needs to get charged but other than that, my Nexband is on my wristBy Annie Dcn on April 19, 2017
Fun from the box to the wrist. Lots of colour flashing makes notifications easy. I tested the step tracker app against my Apple watch and it was bang on. Pairing with my phone was easy. Paired with my Nest and Hue system too to control my home. Only thing missing for me is a watch function.By Steve Jacobson on April 13, 2017
I've read great things about this band and was so excited to test it myself; the reviews didn't disappoint. So far, I've been having a great time "hacking" my other devices and creating shortcuts that fit my life and habits. Such a great addition to my tech collection :)By Madeleine Stoesser on April 11, 2017
The band is super fun and easy to use. I've been using it mainly for the music control while I work out. I hacked it to let me know when I reached 3000 steps and it was very accurate. The music control was also easy to set up. There's a shortcut to set it up in the quick hacks section. You can further customize what each mode does. With the quick hack, it chooses volume up/down, song forward/back, and pause/play. It would be nice if they could add a "random" button. Maybe there is one though. It's pretty deepBy Nancy on April 10, 2017
to unbox now or to unbox later?? ....I had to wait around noon to enjoy the unveiling. first making sure all the chronic tech amazon order(ers) where gone to lunch before having to explain the scotch tape rips and tears. typically when there is a gadget order in the office the plaintiff needs to stand up and explain his purchase and then demo it - so your probably thinking - i should have been showing off my newest wrist gadget right? WRONG - this is a true moment of human efficiency advancement - or at least how I was originally introduced to the concept ... typically what that means is much like getting a game consol and getting familar with it before inviting the bros over..so for now we keep everyone in the dark ages while we advance ... ok quick.. .everyone is gone - its now or never to unbox the band - - so after getting rid of the amazon box i get a very phone like type case - with an open flap - i proceed to use the flap to pear at the device prior to opening the rest of the container. The band comes off its display bed fairly easily so no tugging or pulling involved - it comes with a small black charger. I proceed to slap it on the left wrist and buckle up... ok so the next few sentences you read are key so listen up... dont throw away that white piece of paper that comes in the box - your going to need it - if you follow the instructions on your phone you wlil go to the online app and download it - the wifi gods are good to me today so it takes less than 40 seconds to get the app installed on my android (apparently iphone users can also join the club at ease) - I look up at the office entrance to see if anyone has resurfaced... ok back to the task at hand. the platform on the app is very clean - i feel like im at a spring water marketplace in the swiss alps - everything is polished and organized - i then click on all the apps - have a run through - set up my band ... someone gets back to lunch - ok time to put everything away ... seriosuly so if youve read this far just go to youtube .......... getting everything synched up from your phone to the band - and then maybe maybe you will be able to Hack on! Order yours before theyre gone or forever live in the past...By Farid Guindo on April 9, 2017
I used to wear a Fit Bit all the time, but I kind of stopped since it really only did one thing. When I heard of the Nex band, I thought that might be more useful, since it does everything a Fit Bit does and a lot more. Basically, it has 5 buttons/lights that are individually programmable. You don't need to be a programmer to use it, though. You can use IFTT to tell each button what to do and when. I've got one that lights up whenever one of my friends post on Instagram, another to tell me when I've taken enough steps, one that controls the camera on my phone (for taking group photos), and one to make my phone ring. (I thought that last one would be a good idea to have an excuse to break away from uncomfortable social situations, but so far I haven't really used it so I might reprogram that one.) It's nice that it's super flexible, so if I decide there's some functionality I'm not really using, I can just reprogram it to do something else. Another benefit of the Nex is its minimalist design. There are a lot of other smart watches that will notify you about things from time to time, but you have to look at your watch to see what's going on. Because there are only 5 lights, you can tell at a glance, and it doesn't look like you're checking your email while talking to a friend. It also looks like a cool lit up bracelet, so it doesn't feel like you're wearing a smart tech device.By Maya Watanabe on April 9, 2017
Great accessory, with a lot of interesting uses, especially if you're of a mind to do a little IFTTT hacking. Connected up to phone no problem, and then I was off to the races connecting up some home control/audio things I have set up in the house.By Gothmog on April 9, 2017
This wearable is so unique! It's the perfect mix of style, fun and usefulness. I was worried that the band would look chunky on me because I have really small wrists, but I was pleasantly surprised by its sleek fit! Setting up was a no-brainer. I've already played around with all the light pattern choices for notifications. Love how each pattern has its own personality and feels intentionally crafted! I can't wait for my friend to get her Nex so we can send each other light patterns and play the special minigames together. :)By Steph Festa on April 6, 2017
I am wearing it for a couple of days and I am really happy with my Nex band. I recharged it two days ago and it still has almost half the battery. I had no problem pairing it to phone. It was easy to understand the simple hack system but doing more creative deep things takes a little more time. But once you understand the process you are fine. I would recommend it. It has a fair price, it is accurate to the picture on the amazon site and is comfortable to wear.By Yuri Kimo on April 6, 2017
The band pairs very quickly and the introductory screens are really well done. It’s a lot easier to create hacks than I thought. There are a bunch of hacks that you can create with just one or two taps. The notifications are also pretty cool. The light pattern creator area is addictive. It’s fun creating different light patterns for different friends, weather updates, instagram notifications, etc. I just found out that you can extend the light patterns by using two fingers. They should include that somewhere in the instructions because that’s nice to use. But overall, really happy with it!!By John Luko on April 5, 2017
For a few days this looked like a great band. The hardware has potential, but the software is sorely lacking.
Multiple advertised features aren't implemented yet on android. The band loses sync multiple times per day. The best way to keep it running is to force kill the application from an android application manager and relaunch the nex app. Step tracking is problematic because it doesn't remember when you got the steps so when you finally do sync you get a ton of steps for that moment, and none for the days you actually walked.
